This is an exceptional opportunity to become aware of Florida's unique, native and migratory birds of prey. Presentation will focus on raptors, their natural history and their importance to us and the environment. This is a chance to meet one of the stars of ARC!

Wonderful World of African Violets

Good things come in small packages! The African Violet, still a household favorite, adds color and interest to any room. With over 15 years of experience with these beautiful flowers, Laura will share information about the history, the different types of violets in the violet family as well as basic care. For violet enthusiasts, there will be a demonstrate on successfully repotting, propagating, and separating plants. Questions are encouraged!

Amaryllis/Hippeastrum Extended Blooming
E. William Warren of Amaryllis Spectacularis
Based on original research by E. William Warren, this presentation will focus on how to have your amaryllis stay in bloom 3-4 months. Questions regarding all the tips and techniques for growing, fertilizing, replanting, and cutting are encouraged. William and his wife, June, have been involved with growing amaryllis in Florida for over 25 years and host an on-line Amaryllis Study Group.
